You shouldn't be disappointed. After all, building a guitar is also a learning process and this implies that there will be setbacks. But there also will be happy moments and looking at what you have created so far, it makes me happy. I'm hoping that you will be happy to when you are finished

Agreed with everyone above, they usually turn out different to the plan.
You could mask the binding and spray it with an ivory white, or even a different colour?
