    Baritone necks

There are only a few after market baritone necks available, and only for strat or tele guitars, and they cost a fortune. Would be great if you had some baritone kits or just baritone necks with paddle headstocks for both bolt on and set neck guitars. Looking for 27" - 28" scale length.

O.K. Just a quick one off the top of my head...
I have a Pitbull 30" short scale neck... an SX body to bolt it onto.

    What are the chances?

    cheers, Mark.

Well it all depends on what tuning you want to use. Other than Fender most companies use a scale length from 27" - 28".

    Thanks for the link.

Maybe I'll try for a bass VI conversion.

    cheers, Mark.

I honestly did consider heavily getting a guitar body and a bass neck with no holes drilled for the headstock, and just turning it into a baritone, but think adam said no bingo.
Was also looking at getting the lp shaped bass, and turning that into a guitar hah.

But, baritone necks would be a rad idea. Even just using the 30" necks from the bass. Very easy to adapt, and good length baritone, albiet going to be very low tuning, unless you use light strings hah

Hmmm. Since sleeping on it I've had a closer look.
I think the problem is that the width of the neck at the nut is still at best 42mm.

    cheers, Mark.

[edit] Even still further browsing I notice somebody has done this to a Squier Bronco. (which also has a 42mm nut)

Nice thing about the bass 6 style is it's still E to E tuning, just an octave lower. Don't know why Fender used the jag style trem on them as you really need to lean on that thing to get any movement at all
