So what are your build plans??

I got one a few weeks back... still deciding on a colour scheme and finish coats...

Gave it a couple more coats today & the depth improved heaps. (even though it doesn't show in the photo)
    The intensifying coat next

    G'day Marcel
The kit arrived a couple of days ago. Gotta say I'm impressed.
Planning on using the supplied hardware at this stage & dingo tone finish.
I was just looking at your build dairy & seen the issue with the jack.
I was able to ream both ends of the jack hole using a drill bit & turning it by hand. Didn't think to check the depth. Thinking I can use the same method in the cavity & make the hole big enough to use a socket to tighten the nut (maybe)

Have you had any other issues?

My biggest and most huge issue is/has/will be what colour I want it to be...lol

Any other things I find I'll put in my build diary...

Yep, the wood in the body is quite soft so cleaning out the socket hole for me was relatively simple to do literally by hand... Sad thing is my largest drill bit is 13mm and everything else I have larger are standard hole saw affairs so using a dremel was my only option to get things right for the nut on the socket...

Spent hours trying to do a neat job but it ended up rough but functional haha Click image for larger version.

It's had 5-6 coats in 2 sessions. Hope your right about the intensifier.
Will give it a go over the weekend.

2nd intensifying coat today. Starting to look pretty good I think. ( Lots of character lol )
Only decision now is whether to give another intesifying coat or go to the finishing coats.
