Can anyone give any useful tips for build a Les Paul DC? I'm new to guitar building by the way.

I recently finished a Les Paul... SC not a DC, but the process should be pretty similar. Check out the link in my sig, I tried to document each step, so that might be helpful for your build

Good luck, have fun, and feel free to ask lots of questions as you go!

Do you mean from a kit or from scratch?

    Build 2 - The Relliecaster TL-1
Build 3 - The Black Cherry SG AG-1
    Build 4 - The Sonicaster TL-1ish

The first thing you are going to need is a good build blueprint and a clear idea of what you want to do with it.
theres a lot of reference material available for free and also a lot of sites that you can buy plans from.

    e.g.https://sites.google.com/site/guitar...files/gibson-e

thats a single, but you could use it as a template for building your own version of a dc

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

That fist step is done. I just need to see the whole process of a build first.

Simon’s (SIMpleONe89) build threads cover the steps pretty well, albeit for superstrats with bolt on’s rather than a set neck DC LP:

    Simon’s Super Strat Scratch Build
    Second build! :O

They’re the first step by step threads that spring to mind, but there are others.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know of any other build threads off the top of your head?
