Also: 50 coats?!?!! Whoa. The finish looks amazing, so all that patience paid off.
Mantra: No more pedals, must finish BlueyCaster...
Disclaimer: I haven't done woodwork since high school, and wasn't really paying attention at the time ...

    Hi jd
I used a razor blade, the one sided type, and scratched way the glue slowly. Then gently sanded the fret.
Worked very well. You can’t see it. (Hint - enlarge the 6th fret near the little white dot)
Compare it to the photo higher in the same page as the final photos.

2 days later I realized I had not included photos of the back of the guitar.
The sun has brought out the red which is closer to the actual colour and plan for the build.
Hope this is legal. Sorry about the reflection of the verandah rails

    Tremolo Trick

I have just resolved what I thought was fret rattle which I could not find.
Eventually tracked the noise down to tremolo spring rattle which I had never heard of before.
By the look of YouTube it is not an uncommon occurrence.
I used this solution which I think was the simplest, and seems to have worked well.
The solution is a length of plastic tube 3mm ID. I cut it to the length of the stretched springs in the guitar
