    Well, after a year and a half, this axe is done and submitted for December GOTM. I'll some pics here to finalise the build diary.
    Spec are as follow.
    Artist bullbucker pickups, wired in split coil format with Bourne 500k push/pull pots, treble bleed and orange drop capacitor.
    Custom ebony fretboard with bullet shell fret markers. UV stabilised vinyl wrap image covered with Barnes Epoxyglass.
    Custom .50 cal volume and control knobs, .44 magnum pickup selector switch.
    Rear and neck of body were stained with Keta wood dyes and sealed with wipe-on poly.

    Yeah I agree, hands down one of the best communities on the internet. You should be really proud, going beyond the kit recipe is always a lot of problem solving, adapting and pushing through. Great result.

    It plays very nicely, good low action. Still feeling all the sounds out as I've never had an electric before, but there are plenty of options there. I'm not much of a player, but my neighbour is fantastic, so maybe I can record him doing something to give you a listen of what it can sound like. I would not inflict my playing on anyone.

    You don't need to be able to play well to demo a guitar's sounds. In fact, too many demos show people playing far too fast with a distorted tone that could be any guitar. Slow chord arpeggios and slow single note sounds on clean do it for me. Yes, dirty it up as well but I want to know what it's like clean.
