    First build TB4 bass

    Hello Eveyone
Well the box arrived safe and sound, thanks Oz post! It feels abit like Christmas without the turkey or annoying relatives.
First job, dry build to check everything is there’s and have a look for any issues.

Good on you mate. My TB 4 was a challenge....she plays well.

I hope you enjoy the build. 😎

Love the thick sound of a thunderbird. Exhibit A: midnight oil: underwater.

If I ever get to do another build it’ll be this. All the best. Hope you get a thunderous thump out of that bad boy/girl
    Current Build:

    Hello Again
Well the dry build build went okay......ish. Discovered a couple of issues, first one is that the drilled holes in the body don’t align with the holes in the neck mounting plate which is weird as they are the only holes drilled into it and secondly, there is a router mark in the heal of the neck where it fits into the body that you will be able to see when it’s all mounted up. Wondering if anyone has had similar problems or if I am just incredibly lucky.
    Any ideas to fix them?
Other than that, the kit is good, well put together and nicely finished with quality joints.

Next job, sand sand and sand!

Suggest sending an email to Adam as that neck heel issue will remain visible.

    Good idea

    Hi

Thanks for the advice Wazkelly. I had wondered about filling and sanding back to match the profile but sort of concerned that the join would be obvious particularly on the top face and as it is going to be stained, would stick out.

I will flick him a msg.

In the mean time, sanding goes well, the dust makes the dog sneeze though!!

    cheers

You should get it a doggy dust mask.

I tried to get him to sand but he’s to lazy! A mask sound like a plan though.
