Same PUP's as in the IB5, EX-5, EX-4, SHB-4, & TB-4.Plenty of grunt and sound reasonable. When I was spending plenty on builds swapped them out for a pair of Custom Bensons which sound much better, as you would expect for almost AUD $300.

This is an interesting kit and the floating bridge would have me concerned and probably end up swapped out for something more rigid and fixed.

I plan on doing some future upgrades but for the sake of being scientific I would like to build it stock and give it a good sound clip for people who also thinking of buying this kit! One of the more frustrating things has been the lack of information so far. Looks like the same factory produced them under the name ktone and there are some photos on the Google. Very few with the floating bridge.

Well the kit arrived today!! Everything intact except missing the strings but Adam is already on the case sending me a set! Mock build has me really excited! Going to sleep on the headstock design and see if I still like it as much in the morning.

Who needs sleep anyway?... I'm calling this bass "the rooster" the rough cut looks scary but with a bit of sanding it's coming along nicely! Fix it in the mix right? Lol

    Dude! This is really nice!

I wasn't sold when I saw the pencil marks on the uncut headstock, but seeing it cut and sanded - wow.
Looks really cool and unique. Great design idea and execution!

Thank you! Still working out some of the "hump" on the top to make it flow better...isnt sanding cathartic? Wow

That headstock looks fantastic! Those inside curves must have been hard.

‘The Rooster’, I suggest chicken head knobs. Nice work.
