Been a while , but always lurking and slowly building- white strat.
finally got he black bridge i wanted and the black tuner uograde from PitBull
next is a zebra HB and 2 black sinlgles

Today i shielded my strat pup cavity's and soldered a wire from the bridge to the copper shielding in the pup cavity. Is this wrong ?
do i need to wire the bridge to the volume pot?

As long as the copper shielding is connected to ground, then it’s fine. Best way to check is use a multimeter. Plug a lead into the jack, and there should be continuity from the screen of the jack plug to the strings.
But on a Strat with a trem, the bridge is normally grounded by a wire from the back of a pot to the trem claw.
