You nailed the shape of the headstock, looks perfect. I really like the flourishes you added to the pickguard, simple and classy!

That looks great. I used the Rustoleum on my EVH Frankenstein and it works really well, its a good thing you only see her every second weekend though as it takes ages to go hard. And I do mean ages to fully cure - we are talking weeks not days. BUT if you are patient the finish is very durable and shiny, I like it as a product a lot.
    The scratch plate looks great!
A few years ago I re-purposed my daughter's no longer needed 3/4 strat copy in pink for my son by painting it in teenage mutant turtle green and purple and covering it in TMNT stickers!

That's looking great. I like rustoleum as well but it really does take ages to get properly hard.

It's been a while since I updated this thread its a bit of a slow project. But paint is done.
It's Rustoleum Grape and I've gone over the top with 3 coats of clear.
I had a few hiccups initially with the first coat of purple that I had to sand back but the next 2 coats went on perfectly these photos were taken only a few minutes after the final clear coat so it still needs to settle.

Just make sure you don't put it near anything rubber. I found the rubber coating on my guitar stands doesn't play well with the Rustoleum.

Cheers for the heads up Frankie.
I have had a few folks bring that up. I'm going to let the body hang for a month or so before I do anything with it. Prior to painting the body i I did a separate test with a non Rustoleum acrylic clear over the Rustoleum Grape to see if there would be any reaction and there wasn't (you never know if different brands will react with each other)
My hope is that using a non Rustoleum clear might mitigate that problem.
