    IB-5 Electric Bass - Second Build

    Greetings Folks;

    Received my second bass guitar in February. I have completed a partial assembly. All parts received. Looking forward to starting this kit. Anticipated completion date is end of June, 2018.

    IB-5 Electric Bass - Complete!

    I have not posted since I started to work on the IB-5. I am more satisfied with the finish on this bass than the RC-4 I worked on last year. Other than a grounding issue I am working on with regards to the tone pots, the bass looks good, feels good, and sounds good. Hope to use this on stage in a week. Looking forward to the next build! I will post a few more prebuild photos on subsequent posts.

    A very nice, clean looking bass you've built there. It would be nice to have a photo of you playing it on stage.

    Thanks. I was going to go with a darker stain, but the clear stain actually worked out quite nicely.

    I thinks the stain looks great, and goes really well with the black hardware. Nice job!

    I’ll reiterate what Andyxlh said. Nice curves on that body.
