    Very nice as always FW, are those marks in the last pic 'rays' in the timber? possibly called meldullary rays ..i dunno. just some term i heard of from learning about woodgraining as a pprentice

    edit- maybe scratches that will disapear with more coats?
    Also, how come most build cavities get sealed with tape? cant paint stain oil seal them up? prolly dumb question....

    Yeah, they look 3D but the are perfectly flat. I am calling it character in the wood.

    Not sure on any of that guvna, I just wanted to keep from building up massed layers of clear in the cavities.

    you're going to haft to sand that out clear wont do it btw you dont haft to use a 800gt its over kill and not necessary 320 to 400gt is fine enough you could even quit at 240gt.

    Oh my Frankie. You're doing a great job as usual. But that grain is certainly the hero with this guitar. Stunning piece of wood.

    I am humbled. And you are quite right about the grain. It was going to be a "Blackie" tribute until I pulled the wrapping off it. Sometimes less is more than enough.
