Yeah wasn't that a 60's tune that went something like this?

"She wore an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, yellow polka-dot bikini".

    That's showing my age, isn't it?....hahahaha.

Actually, I could do something radical and get some of those round yellow stickers that the teachers at primary school used to have, and then I could stick them on the Tele body, better still, I could go all multi-coloured for a more psychedelic effect.....hahahaha.

Had a look on the Realtone Music website and decided to get one of their Tele Total Overhaul hardware kits, that'll save me having to go through the process of working out what I'll need to get hardware-wize, here's what the hardware kit looks like :

I like the idea of those kits - they must just save so much hassle and time researching. It’s a great idea marketing wise.

Recently replaced the standard bridge on my Tele Squier with a 'Wilkinson' to discover that there's a 10mm difference in length.
Thus the string-through holes no longer line up.

    cheers, Mark.

Yeah was thinking that too, I reckon a Tortoiseshell scratchplate would work with the Butterscotch Yellow finish, would spruce it up a bit.

Black Pickguard for mine, goes with the black inlay dots... then maybe black hardware too ? keep it simple/classic...just my 2 cents.
whichever way you go doc, no doubt you will nail it and make it look speccy. cant wait to see the new tele

    cheers Guv

Hopefully once it's all built up and playable, it shouldn't look too out of place when used to play early Led Zeppelin tunes, that's the basic concept I'm going for, something that Jimmy Page would be happy to pick up and play tunes like "Dazed and confused", "Whole lotta love", etc on, I know that Jimmy's Telecaster had a dragon painted on it.

Yeah I'm a Led Zeppelin fan, Jimmy Page is one of my guitar heroes.
