Just picked up my new bass today it's the 30th anniversary edition SR I already have the 20th anniversary (bloody missed the 25th). It's a dream to play feels almost identical to the 20th anniversary nice slinky neck and string spacing, good for my not so big hands, and an eq that just about covers all basses (no pun intended).
The year 2017 represents an anniversary of the SR series. Throughout the past 30 years, Ibanez has been improving and developing the SR series by closely following market requirements and opinions from various artists and valued customers. SR is now one of the most popular and distinctive basses in the whole bass market. Ibanez is pleased to show its gratitude to its fans and celebrate SR’s 30th anniversary. The SR30TH4 brings a wide range of distinctive features, such as a half-hollow body, 3 iconic oval holes, and a beautiful Mahogany top, all of which create an artistic appearance for this anniversary bass. The half-hollow construction enhances body resonance, creating a warm and rich tone. This model uses the BartoliniR MK-1 pickups that are known for their bright sound. These different tonal aspects produce an excellent combination of sounds. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, EQ bypass switch, and 3-way midfrequency switch allow for precise tonal control (250 Hz, 450 Hz, and 700 Hz). Both comfort and body balance are maintained through the model’s slightly thick, half-hollow body.
