    IB-7 Build

Hi all. Here is my build so far. From receiving the guitar, i have test fitted, sanded, sealed and stained the guitar. I even went as far as masking up the frets to seal and satin clear the neck. not sure if others here have don the same. One thing I'll take from this so far is to dust on the stain with the spray gun, because the stain bleed through the fine line tape. Guess I'll be spending a little time tomorrow fixing it. Lesson learned! Hopefully I'll get to clear it tomorrow as well. If there is anything I could have done different for future builds, your comments would be appreciated. PS not too sure with what I'm doing with uploading photos, so if the images don't appear I'll try again.

That’s a wonderful effect, tape mishaps aside. Really unique colour, look forward to seeing how this goes!

Cheers guys. I will be spending a little bit of time sanding the bleed through. Hoping to clear coat it today as well.

Looking really nice. Seems impossible to avoid the odd boo boo here and there, looks pretty recoverable.

Looks great. I actually thought you ballsed up the stain, but too clever for me. Looks tops.

    Update...
The guitar is clear coated. Although, I will have to do the satin clear on the neck again. A couple of small pit of clear came of on the back of the head and on the first fret. Once I fix that, I'll sand the guitar back and polish it for a better mirror finish.
