If you splash similar number of coats on scrap timber and then add 1 intensifier you will see what difference it makes.
Hard to describe and similar to the prescence control on an amp where somehow things are enhanced ever so slightly and in a good way.

No, once you see the colour where you want it to be you can move on to final finishing.
Intensifier does enhance and adds a bit more 'zing' but not required as part of the curing process.
