At least try and do it so you avoid the largest ones.

So it looks like you are basically making a left-handed guitar. Will you fit a right- or left-handed trem?

It will be a LH trem, if I get it all together and don’t like it, I can off load it to a lefty with no hassles.

A good heads up call there Simon, thank you. I have templated the board and all of the knots will fall either side of fret lines. First challenge is getting the TR channel cut. I should have done this prior to shaping the blank, but from memory it wan't particularly squared off. We shall see.

    Roddy roddy, slotty slotty.

My jig set up was a bit thrown together but it worked well, TR channel is dead straight along the center line.

I did have some difficulty with the through hole, the long auger but I used has a substantial amount of flex and this caused a breakthrough. The tip also dived down creating a void under the TR channel. I may have to fill this with some epoxy as it might be hit when doing the shaping on the neck rear.

So next step is going to be slotting the board which should prove interesting with the iron wood.

Nice work Franken. Really want have a crack at scratch building my own neck eventually. Great to see the tool improvisation, shows what you can do when you put your mind to it.

Good job wit the TR channel. Love the colour of that Ironwood, can't wait to see it radiused, fretted and oiled.
