Adam is the owner of Pitbull and this site. He is very helpful and reasonable. You would have got an automatic email from his address when you ordered the kit. Just reply and let him know whats going on and I'm sure you will be able to work something out. It's the nature of these kits that there are some manufacturing errors. 9 times out of ten it can be fixed or mitigated, but sometimes its a fault that can't be rectified. It is a bit of a shame you didn't notice this until you were so far into the build but I don't think that will be a problem.

EDIT: Just saw its a set neck. That makes changing it tricky, but not unachievable. Did you use titebond? You may have to carefully score through your shielding then steam it off. I have seen it done a couple of times on here without any major dramas.

Is back! Notice the bone nut. Luthier has strung it with 11s and reckons that when it warms up a bit the neck will bend enough to attach the nut onto the truss rod.

Too many control knobs to choose from, and now I have discovered 3D printing an endless choice of ideas for the truss cover too!

Yeah, I always find the choice of things like knobs a bit overwhelming. Even after I've ordered some I always start doubting my choice and start looking at more lol

this is all without the aid of the reefer so Im not having a proper go but now it is almost set up hopefully you can hear how delicious it is beginning to sound with the ancient Japanese pickups, which showed promise as soon as I heard them with some strings on- they are more than what I was ever aiming for the whole effect is very Explorer like. This is with Way Huge Swollen Pickle, clean and OCD last.

I reckon I am done with this, except to take some decent pictures and post a decent recording of how it sounds. I haven't got anything which sounds quite like it.
As you can see I started wrong with the neck tilting a bit far back but I am very happy.
