Hi Adam, when I saw 1st post with all the Ebony TM immediately thought it would be another Bondi Blue job to match the others.

Dingotone seems to work the same way as Shellac, but in reverse.
With Shellac, you multiple coat it, then sand it down.
How have you found the color spread?
I have a ES3 build using Shellac [which is applied in the same method ] but found that there can be places that the color appears dark than elsewhere on the body.
I strongly suspect this is an issue because of the particular guitar design we are trying to finish,[Hollow -semi hollow body] if it were a Strat or Tele, or any other Solid Bodied guitar, the problem of darker areas in the concave sections [ left & right cutout areas, both middle bought's ] wouldn't be a problem
