No worries Guv. Thanks for bringing up that path conundrum. I gained another tip out of it.
As you can see my attempt was fairly rough. I'd a taken a bit more care with the paint but was keen to get it done.
Once you have the materials it's easy to go over and over until a decent job evolves.
hey all, wanted to share my Laser engraved headstock test panel results so far...
big thanks to the King, who showed me how to get white/silver etc, with decal slides which will suit some future projects indeed.
prior to this i dropped a sample board to the local trophy/engraver ,who kindly laser engraved 6 test logo's each at varied depths for approx .3mm to 3mm. heres the results after some acyrlic water based paints were carefully added/wiped and sanded, and more nitro clear coat.
interesting to note, the deeper the laser depth, more visible burn appeared around edges, although clear coat seemed to fix.
the silver and gold paint was just for giggles as once i applied white to the shallowest cut, (logo on low right) i was liking.
so the intended logo and neck will be soon lasered like so, pending my lack of patience which is of concern, all should be good.
