    Barnseys 2nd build ES2V

I had these turn up on my door step 2 days ago, completely forgot i had brought them ( beers and the internet got me again). I wont be telling the wife how much they were. Since ii had pickups i needed a guitar and ordered an ES2V last night, got an email from adam today saying it had been posted.how good is that for service. So i should be starting a new build sometime next week. I guess this means ive got the bug.
Ive upgrade the tuners to grover vintage, orange drop capacitators, and shielded wire along with the Seymour duncan antiquity pickups,

As for colours ill wait and see when it turns up, but i would like to do quilted top natural if it looks good enough.

Just got the email from aus post package arives tomorrow, getting excited
How good is that only ordered it on thursday night, thats great service from adam and pitbull guitars
Ive still got 1/2 to 2/3 of bondi blue left over from my 1st build so going to do the back and sides in that after ebony timbermate hopefully that takes the yellowness out of the basewood, if the quilted maple veneer is nice enough i think I'll do a sanding sealer and then naughty oil.

Hi Adam, if you go with naughty oil on the top you probably could skip the sanding sealer as TO does that as you apply it. Suggest brushing 1st & 2nd coats, then switch to a rag for 3rd & 4th. After that you could commence doing the wet sanding method that Ponch has done on his ES5 without risking any damage to the quilted maple top as there should then be enough thickness to work with safely.

I was going to try and avoid sanding till i had coats on thought the sanding sealer would only need a light rub and help pop the quilt a little bit

Never used the stuff as I figured it was meant to go under a solid colour.

Kit turned up today, everything fits neck is nice tight fit, the quilted grain looks amazing.only a couple of glue spots
The only blemish is a dark line under the veneer, looks like a Knott with some sap, i can feel an indent in the body were the mark is,
I can only see it at certain angles so hopfully it wont stand out
