PB are now blocking pics linked to 3rd party sites such as forums unless you are prepared to spend money.
Most of the guys on my car club forum have moved all their stuff to imigur (sp)
currently still free hosting but no doubt will change once they have enough victims (clients) on board
Imgur is the correct spelling
Yep... the specialist guitar forums I've been a part of since 2005 have an immense problem given that most photos on them are hosted by PB, and that wealth of information is now useless. I've closed my PB account and use .imgserv but as Dave says, the writing is on the wall for the free photo hosting....
"If it's Blues music in a bar and it helps people swallow their drink of choice, or it's a dance song and people get up off their chairs and shuffle their feet, or it's a Jazz tune and the Chardonnay tastes so much better... then it's all good."

ok thanks DK and Corsair, I thought that might be the reason, so looks like all these other image hosting sites will follow PB

It would appear that the ads that PB and the like run don't generate enough income so now they are charging big bucks and their users are leaving in droves
Imgur is a pretty safe bet as its actually a community not just hosting site. It was originally developed as an image hoster for Reddit - if it were so ever try something like PB there would be around 7million extremely pissed off reddit users - many of whom have no problems DDOS attacking things they don't like. I think they would be looking at the PB fiasco as how not to approach the business.
