It's been ages since I did a build diary. Here's a build I did in 2013 and unfortunately the wudtone amaranthine stain faded badly. So sanded it off and applied a Dingotone bushfire sunrise. The basswood body has some nice grain

more angles. Haven't decided on hardware yet, but will be asking Andy40 for tips what he used. Definitely pups and electronic upgrades on the cards. Only given the headstock and neck a quick polish as last clear coat was about 2 weeks ago. Will wait another week curing and give a full polish.

Wokks. what can I say. I'm proud of you. I almost can't beleive the Wudtone faded. but the DT OS looks magic.
Did you need to move the Jack hole so it didn't touch the pot? I can't remember if you had that problem.
My kit is stock except the pups.
The pups on mine are stock PBG chrome covered, I pulled them apart and replaced the ceramic magnets with alnico V's and shimmed the slimmer alnico magnet with a cut down paddle pop stick, then wax potted them with 80/20 parrafin to bees wax.
I thought about upgrading the wiring to vintage cloth but given how much wiring I canned that idea.
Your inspiring me to upgrade soon to. I think I would carve up some bone nuts, replace the switches, pots and caps and drop in a treble bleed.

Nice colour Woks and prefer it to the original purple.
Artist Bullbucker PUP's are worth considering as their sound demo is as good, if not better, than the SD's they may have copied.

$65 a set for Black ones or $75 for Chrome. Must be popular as all out if stock until December except for Neck Chrome ones only at this stage. The come with 4 wire too, not that you would want to add a further degree of wiring difficulty I suppose.
