    Obtaining veneers

A lot of build diaries mention using veneers on head stocks and occasionally a nice ply or something might get used for a pick guard, control cavity plate, truss rod cover etc.

Any tips for new builders on sourcing these? Good places to buy them, things to look out for etc?
