    What a great kit! Looks unreal. I had the same issue with neck bolt holes squiffy on my TL51 kit. Funny how the factory can make such amazing guitars at a fantastic price and then stuff up something so simple

    @FrankenWashie do you mean you want to modify the V kit to Vulture-ify it?

    I have a route template and neck for one but its sitting on the back burner atm.

    I decided to make tonight veneering night. After selecting my pieces I tried to make them a little more workable by wetting them then steaming them with an iron. Then I got them in rough position and trimmed them to fit the body with some overlap.

    Then I spread out the glue, applied the veneer, clamped and weighted it all down and am now hoping for the best.

    Ha, yeah that was the sketchiest part of this whole procedure. I could have used a spotter for sure. Somehow I managed to get two of them plus the chimpanzee kettlebell up there.
