@ Frankenwashie Since I know from first-hand experience how difficult it is to make a nut from scratch, both you and Igor have my sympathy too.
Maybe I just need more practice to build up my nut-making chops to a good standard, it's not very often that I make them, I found that it doesn't take much to ruin a nut that I've put a lot of work into making, the slightest mis-alignment of the nut-slotting files and it's a case of start from scratch again as I found out when trying to cut a new bone nut for my Fender USA Strat.
