I just thought I'd say hi and give a quick intro.
I'm completely new to building guitars, woodworking, electronics and I can't even play the guitar. So why am I here? Basically, since hearing Iron Maiden, GnR, Metallica, etc in the 80s as a kid I’ve wanted to learn to play, but other hobbies have taken priority and the time needed. A couple of years back I bought an acoustic and learnt some basics for a couple of months in the winter but then put it down and not touched it since. Now my other hobbies have taken a backseat I wanted to use the time for a new challenge, so here I am.
I’ve jumped in at the deep end and ordered 2 kits, an EX-1 and a LP-1SS mainly because I couldn’t decide which I preferred. I’ve read lots of very helpful posts on the forum and made a start on sanding the EX but once i get into it I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions.
