Reversed lefty Iceman...Now a Fireman Bass.

Reversed lefty Iceman...Now a Fireman Bass. Its a pearl white finish with a marble effect and a coating of clear pearl glitter nail polish stolen from my Fiancee ! Haha.

looks great Metalrulez, how did you get the marble effect in the paint ? Looks like you have some serious amps behind the bass !

Thank you Wokkaboy. The marble effect you can get in a Dulux spray can. It sprays on like silly string.

    The amps are a 6 x 10 and a 4 x 10 Warwick and a 18 inch Eminar.

Love the effect of the marble finish, and the slightly oddball assembly. How'd you go matching up the bass neck with what I assume is a guitar pocket? Was it just a matter of dropping it in there and getting the scale length right? Or did you have to reshape one or the other?

The right handed neck fitted nicely into the left handed slot. I just measured from the back of the nut to the middle of the 12th fret...which was 433mm. I then measured 433mm from the middle of the 12th fret to the centre of the E string saddle. Marked where the bridge would sit, got a 12 inch ruler and lined the centre of the saddles (string grooves) with the centre of the magnets of the pick ups.

Bro you are knocking these out left right and center! Another great build and with a very unusual and very cool finish. I hope you replaced the nail polish though, else you'll be in BIG trouble!
