    Esquirebird, anyone?

Saw this in a guitar shop in New York - beautifully detailed and relic'd, complete with baseball bat neck and tiny frets. Not a shredding machine, but perfect for knocking 'em dead at a blues jam night.

Could probably be done with a mix'n'match, though the body would need custom routing...

That is...very interesting. To be honest, pop in humbuckers & a different paint and I would be all over that.

It's like an esquire is trying to achieve a metamorphosis into a firebird. Very odd, not entirely unattractive.

That guitar is strangely beautiful, I agree with Raz RE a bucker... i feel like it needs to be like Keefs 'Micawber' tele

I like the idea. Body needs to be Ash or Alder. Should be a right rockin' spank plank.

Interesting concept but I'd be more inclined to use a hot single coil, a lot easier to dirty that up than to clean up a hot bucker even if it's a split

A number of smaller companies have made these. Apparently the Tele bridge pickup and the Firebird neck pickup is a great combination.
