Question Pots shaft length - Spalted maple LP

    Hello,

I'm new here and just ordered a spalted maple LP. Very much looking forward for it's arrival.
Ordered mine with out the parts will get some upgraded parts...
Question: There are two types of pots for LP style guitars. Long Shaft and Short Shaft. Not having the guitar on hand (even if it was I don't think that'd help) I can't tell which is necessary.

The shafts on the supplied pots in the PitBull pictures look like long shafts but I can't tell for sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

Hi Japan, I would order the long shaft to be safe. Worse comes to worse you can use a nut as a spacer if the long shaft is too long and the knobs sit too high.
I doubt a short shaft would be long enough.

Wokkaboy, thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking more or less the same thing as you suggested. It seemed best to Err On the side of a little long than little too short.

A hacksaw will also cure a case of an overly long shaft.
