Hi Andy, down there they are much closer to the hole in the ozone layer and when the sun comes out you get fried quicker than you can say KFC haha! Same thing in NZ South Island too.

Yes, it was out for about 5mins!!
As Waz mentioned, you fry to a crisp down here very easily!
Some cousins were down from Cobar who were nice and brown from their 40deg weather up there, and after just 20mins of a 20deg day they were brunt!! Being a natural ginger, I lost many layers of skin thanks to blistering and sun burn as a kid.
I really should get in for a mole check soon.

I just had a growth removed from my nose today. Probably just a warty thing but it has been bleeding for a few months, so they thought it best to remove it and check it out in case it was a BCC.

Careful what you say Simon as there are plenty of 2 headed jokes about Tasmanians, all untrue as there is a country town about an hour north of where I live that has already taken the gong for that.
