    Dedicated build to Muzza😎

Ok, so rather than sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for stuff to arrive its time for a side project..
I am dedicating this build to Muzza, who kindly and rather painstakingly put together a scale drawing of the Maton BB1200.

Body will be Tassie Blackwood with an as yet to be specified drop top, neck will be a laminate of Blackwood and a few other super secret but very tasty Aussie timbers..

Just to be different, I will make this build a Bass. No surprises there😂

I will also make a few mods here and there to make it more unique than it already is..

Anyhooo, dont hold ya breath waiting for this one to be finished.. at the current rate I would expect it to be done sometime next year......

wow cool project DB, so your bass will be chambered and F holes cut in the drop top ?
Is that old or new tazzy blackwood blanks ?

love the drawing Muzza looks like there's enough detail on there

I find it surprising you are twiddling your thumbs DB, thought you were up to your neck in jobs !

    Fully chambered with f holes..
Blackwood has been sitting around for nearly two years...
Got a few builds on but waiting for stuff to arrive so I can carry on with those, hence the thumb twiddling.
And yes, it is a very detailed drawing so should be easy enough to translate into a Bass 😆

You're making a bass from it? Cooool.

Coincidentally, my 18 month venture into playing rhythm guitar has reached its natural conclusion and I'm now back where I'm comfortable and where I belong - on bass.

SOOOOO, I'll be watching this build with even MORE interest, and providing many more pokes to keep DB's finger at a safe distance from you-know-where.

Good call DB, and thanks for the honourable mention/dedication.

Not sure what you intend doing with the headstock, but may I recommend you go more toward the T-Byrd style than the enormous Mastersound paddles?

Still undecided on headstock.. but definitely wont be putting that massive boat oar on it....
Kind of inclined to put my own design on but not sure if it will suit... might look out of place so may end up giving the T byrd style a few tweaks.
