    Help me, please!

Fellas, I'm at the end of my rope! I wish to build something but cannot find anything that lights the fire; the one I really want to do is the Klein but I've heard/read absolutely nothing good about those Lord of Rock(?) Steinberger clone bridges, so unless I can find a Trans-Trem for less than a kings ransom, the Klein is not a runner. Sad face.

A bastardised Telecaster sort-of appeals; a back loaded, Thinline with 2V,2T, 3 way w/coil split and phase reverse but there's nothing that quite fits the bill in the inventory, and I fear that customising from the factory would be either impossible or financially unviable. I quite the look of a Tele with a Florentine cutaway, too, rather than the Venetian....

I suppose I could get a blank body and rout, shape and fettle it to my requirements, but I'm basically lazy and like the kit idea as the donkey work has been done! Folk who scratchbuild are my heroes; take a bow!!

A Strat? Nope... got a modified one, and don't play it. LP? Nope; just don't like them. Same goes for hollow bodies and the SG. I have shredders already as well as the odd pointy one so I'm at something of an impasse...

Don't I just sound precious?! However, maybe someone can see something I'm missing here - all suggestions are welcomed and I'll consider myself a prize dickhead until further notice!

So... help me, chaps; one way or another!!

If you really want something different and also have a tremolo then it is either of the headless kits.

For a slightly different shape the Firebird looks appealing but sadly no tremolo.

What about the PBG-2 kit? It's an original Pit Bull shape so I'm guessing you don't have similar already? Just a thought!

Don't think I've seen an RD build yet. They're oddly shaped without being pointy.

For the headless Doc found a roller style to suit his build. Copied the link from his "headless revisit thread

How about a TL-1TB... single f-hole, bound, routed for Hums and has a Bigsby style trem. Plug the front control cavity opening and open it up from the back for 2V 2T, solid colour to hide the alteration. If you want string-thru then just switch it to a hardtail.

If that's too much alteration then please allow me to say... harden up, princess

You can add a bigsby to almost anything and custom from the factory isnt terribly expensive. I have a Jagmaster with inverted strat style neck and bigsby on order due in Feb. Wasn't much more than a standard kit.

ES-1 335 style? Has a few more challenges with wiring than the standard solid body guitars, but nothing too difficult. The PBG kit is considerably lighter than a real 335, so is nice to play on a strap for long periods.

Try a bass kit, maybe... but I am biased.
