    Do i go with Naughty Oil (Sorry, DB) or do i try wipe on Poly.......

    Wow, that colour combo in the figure looks amazing! My advice is TO 100%. It will pop the grain even more than it is already. I have personally used Wipe on Poly as a final protective coat over TO, but definitely use TO.

    Hey Bluesy I don't have any experience with wipe on poly but TO will give it a nice gloss
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    I really do not want to stuff this up as i do believe i have scored myself a pretty special piece of wood....

    Would you do a few neat coats of TO followed by a wet sand to pore fill then repeat the coat and wet sand route and if so, what grade of wetndry and is it the Wet n'dry they sell in the green warehouse of much naughtiness adequate.......

    I have used both TO was the easier of the 2
