Um, I have another question.

I am sanding between coats of the base blue once I have the final coat of that on Do I sand it then put the black crosses on?
or not sand the final coat as I will put a clear coat on top?

Sorry for all the questions it's been a long time since I painted anything that wasn't a toy soldier.

Hey Neil,
once you have the last blue coat nice and flat you shouldn't need to sand it before the black crosses go on. Once you are happy with the black cross coats remove the stencils (once the black paint has cured) then I'd give it a light 1200 or 1500 grit wet and dry before clear coats.
