    Wine Red Finish?

This may be a question best for DB, but i wasn't sure.

I am already throwing ideas about my next build, being an LP-1.

I've always wanted a wine red finish...like the LP studio and I am a massive fan of AJ's LP-1 in "modified mahogany".

Any suggestions as to the best way a beginner can achieve this, would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Andy,

The Dingotone Karijini red would go close, especially on lighter coloured timbers.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

What if Dingotone Karijini red is not available in your country?

Hey Fender, in that case I would say Colourtone would be the way to go..

I was afraid you might say that. Seems awfully pricy when I compare what you get from SM to what you get with the Dingotone kit <sigh>

Yeah Fender3x, the Colortone from SM should be undiluted so a bottle should last you a fair while

You could always try something like Keda dyes.

I used uBeaut dyes on that one. The orange was straight from the tub.
