pure hollow body es175 with single p90 dogear

to make an old timy jazz guitar, single p90 at neck as dogear
Why do it carefully if you can do it quick?

Would I be right in thinking that the structure of these kit guitars, in particular the neck joint, means that only set-in pickups can be used?

Depending on your abilities with tools and with wood you can pretty much adapt to a number of options. What pickups in particular were you wanting to put in the guitar?
