    this is Andrew's TL-1 pic he recently posted. The neck pup route as they come out of the factory are too big to fit a humbucker pickup ring

    I'd say just the single pup rout. It's a lot easier to remove wood than it is to fill it back in.

    Rabbitz here's an example on a mock build of a TLA-1 I built, see the chrome ring doesn't cover the cavity. I think only 2 or 3 of the 4 screws for the ring bit into timber
