Sorry to hijack the post, but on the note of soft basswood, has anyone tried spraying hardener onto it? Im curious as to the results.
The Basswood will be hardened by using a sander sealer or a Vinyl sealer when Nitro is used as the Laquer..
There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Sometimes folk want a Nitro or Acrylic or Two Pack finish.
At least you can still use the Dingotone stain coat under Nitro..

very nice, love the veneer and double binding. i reckon upgrade the hardware, make this one something a bit special
