    Dingotone over colortone

    Hi Guys,

I'm contemplating using colour less Dingotone as a top coat over colortone stain. Anyone tried doing the same, will it work?

    Cheers,
    Patto

Hi Patto, I've never tried this combination but should be fine, I'd wait for Dingobass to confirm before you order it or flick him an email.
You might as well order the clear kit and I'd try it over a test colortone stain on some scrap wood.

I've used Dingotone colourless neck finish (base and top coats) over Colortone stain on a maple neck, and it worked nicely. I mixed the Colortone with metho rather than water and gave it a couple of days to dry and settle after staining before starting on the Dingotone, but didn't have any problems.

Haha, Yeah I know, would have been the straight forward thing to do, but I already had the colortone and have done some test bits to get the colour I wanted. Definitely going all dingotone on the next one. (because there is always a next one)
