Pic update. Back is like glass now thanks to sanding sealer prep but the top still needs a few coats more. The black stain didn't really get along with the sealer as well as the oak did. Same as the sta, this will get the very last coat via naughty oil spray can.
I might have to do a black top guitar one day... yours and barge's LP/Esquire are giving me maaaad GAS.
Silly gun shop taking 5 weeks already to get in the spray tru oil. Got impatient and had a crack at final coating by hand wasn't happy with the finish, not glassy enough so gave it a quick wet sand another coat on the top and sides. Maybe one or two more and a final spray and she'll be mint.
If it's the same place I got mine from, ring them up and hassle them. It took them 6 weeks to get mine to me and I live 10 minutes drive away.

if its Queensland Gun exchange with the tru oil they are slow at posting. I ordered a bottle for Pablo for making me some pickguards and trem covers and they did take forever ! I assume it got delivered to the wrong address !

It's from Mackay shooters supply they always have the oil in Stock but the spray can version is a special order
yeah ok I haven't heard anything about tru oil spray, keen to hear how it goes, whats it cost for standard size 280 odd gram can ?
getting tired of ragging on 10+ coats !
