Wow Andrew, that looks so nice.
I have not been keeping up with the forums of late so missed this one. I have just started T.O'ing a leftie Strat that I am doing for my brother. If I can get a finish half as good as yours I'll be happy.

Are hybrids allowed, like a Tele body with LP hardware?
Thanks robin. This is really just learning by mistakes, sanding back, and going again. All I do is one aide at a time laying flat on a bench, then just wipe it on in the direction of the grain, put 6 coats on first, then knock it t back with 2000, then repeat every 3 coats. I first tried with a cloth but we didn't get along, and also tried hanging the body and doing it all in one pass, but got runs and streaks. Its slow doing it this way, but it worked.
That is one meaty looking ash body with the finish, very nice
St update, 3 spray coats.
Looks amazing dude! I'm loving it. She's gonna look fantastic with the hardware on!
cheers,
Gav.

Was planning on getting the prs in for gotm this month but alas, due to my piss poor checking of parts she is on hold till I get the right tuners. So when I get home tonight it will be a marathon sesh to get this unit banging out some tunes. Basically the body and neck are finished, but that's it. Need to solder everything, shielding, screw everything down, neck, bridge, the works. Wish me luck. Anyone got a good technique for lining up the bridge and neck?
looking sweet Andrew,
there's not much movement of the bridge so put both E strings on and make sure the neck is hard up against the bass side of the pocket and then I'd line up the bridge and drill the bridge screws. Once thats screwed in check offset of strings, clamp it and drill the neck screws
Only 3 solder joins I can wire one of thse blindfolded haha
