    I'd guess Michael that the spalt lines are naturally dark and Tommy scored a very nice cap, but Tommy will have to confirm that

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Can I ask, did you use anything before the red to make those Spalt lines pop? they really show up on your beautiful build, wondering if you had to ink it and sand it first, or is that just the natural spalting under the carmine?
    Michael, I didn't have to do anything to make those spalt lines pop - only sanded the cap and the Wudtone did the rest.

    This guitar looks great!
    Just wondering if you could give me any pointers with setting the neck? I'm about to complete the finish on mine and want to get the neck on. I have been looking through the forum and I can't see anything on setting the necks on this model. Cheers in advance.
