    Its a Gibbon mate!

Finished my Explorer, really great journey.
Crimson Amber stain with gloopy blackboard black on the front of the headstock. Finished with Danish oil. Haven't got the heart to cover the best flaming with a scratchplate as yet. Unknown Japanese Pickups and hardware from Ebay. I can't believe how lucky I was there, never heard nothing like it. Sounds like I imagine a really old Explorer would sound. Kluson Tuners, a transgender looking truss cover sprayed black. Christened "Gibbon" cos I thought it sounded like Australian humour.

Here is my first build. It was much more difficult than I thought it would be but was fun and I am very satisfied with the result.
The kit was an EX1-A but I upgraded the pickups to EMG H4 and H4A and replaced the plastic nut with a compensated nut made from water buffalo tusk.
