    looking great Dennis, the colour is much more solid and consistent. Should look the goods after clear coats !
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Great colour happening now Dennis. Really suits these guitars I reckon. Hope you're practicing your surf riffs. I'm watching this with interest.

    Finally back working on the guitar.
    Shaping the headstock, using the bait board as a work bench, might have to change the name to "Baitcaster". The table isn't used to clean a lot of fish so at least it is useful for something.
    Any way the rough shape is cut out now for the angle grinder to do the fine stuff. !!!!

    I mixed 50/50 so as not to be too complicated. The white knocks the intensity if the surfer girl..

    Thanks for the reply! How many coats of 50/50 did you apply? I'm thinking of achieving a solid colour with the colour in your second coat.
