    Hi from Wellington NZ

Hi everyone, I'm finally getting around to building my son his guitar - I bought the kit four years ago, he got distracted with school, exams, a girl, a job... so it looks like it's up to me to make it for him!

I'll need a little help with some things - got a couple of questions already - but this is a just a quick hi to you all. There seems to be a ton of expertise here!

    cheers
    Barno (Barney)

    Hi and welcome Barno.

Good luck with the build, and maybe it should be you making it for you! We recommend you start a thread in the "my build diary" to keep track of your questions and progress.
    PitBull Builds: FVB-4, LP-1SS, FBM-1, AG-2, TB-4, SSCM-1, TLA-1, TL-1TB, STA-1HT, DSCM-1 Truckster, ST-1, STA-1, MBM-1.

Scratch Builds: Pine Explorer, Axe Bass, Mr Scary, Scratchy Tele's.

The little voices in my head keep telling me "build more guitars"

    Hi Barno,
Welcome. I am currently in the process of finishing my first build, so probably going through the same process you are. Let us know your questions and we can point you in the right direction!

There is something very special about building a guitar for your kid. I built one a couple of years ago for my daughter. Not my most perfect build, but she won't let me touch it. It has become one of her most prized possessions.

thanks Trevor, I just started a thread in the My Build Diary and will post questions there. I think my questions will probably be a bit basic, but better I ask rather than mess it up!! Barney
