I have sort of decided on a look that I want for discontinued No.7.
It's a quilted maple veneer top and because I live close to the beach I've been inspired by some of the colours in the shallow water at our turn around point where we walk the dog, the water at this spot is very gentle and just laps at the shore
In my mind I see the top as a burst of a dark translucent green at the edge and lightening as it goes through lightening yellows to a sandy colour in the centre.
The now deleted DT Coolongatta Gold might have gone close for the yellows if it was progressively thinned.
Currently tossing up between Japan Black & Japan Brown for the sides, back, neck and headstock if I cant find a quilted veneer to match the body cap.
The BGSFOS doesn't carry the stain colours that excite me, the clear coats will be wipe on poly as I'm done with acrylics sticking to the pads on my guitar racks & stands.
Maybe artist inks but where to buy locally around Woolongong or online.
