Groovy. I know that a number of acoustic guitar luthiers use Tassie Blackwood. I wonder what it would be like as a solid body. We use it where I am currently working. Never laid hands on till then. Aside from the variety of hues it comes in, the weight realy caught me off guard... not much heavier than basswood.I was considering buying some for the V, if it wasn't for the fact that I had that Mahogany and lucked out with scoring the Walnut offcut.

There are a couple of affordable planks floating around on eBay if the urge takes you…

While I do some stuff at home (mostly the glueups), Ever since I moved to a small villa, I do the big stuff at a Men's Shed where I have access to a table saw, bandsaws, thicknesser and a jointer. You could always join a shed .

Don’t be. Mine is a bombsite at the moment. I keep telling Ig0r not to mix volatiles in the lab but does he listen?

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

They do have them in the UK but nowhere near to the same extent as in Aus (I think). I did make enqs where I am but decided to spend vast quantities of money on tools instead! Table saw is the next purchase.
