Shielding for HB-4 (or any totally hollow body)?

Search has turned up nothing that I could find readily useful.

My HB-4 was a gift & my brothers included copper shielding tape as would normally be expected, but I'm clueless on its usage in the violin-bass-with-single-large-cavity scenario. However, every application of shielding I've seen is for an enclosed pickup cavity & no such thing exists in the HB-4. In the HB threads I've found I saw no mention of shielding, or I'm blind.

Any advice on whether shielding is beneficial in the HB-4? Is it even doable? Would gluing in & shielding a suspended pickup cavity made from plywood, underneath both pickups & perhaps also the control panel, be advisable?

I built my HB4 bass recently using the stock pickups. I didn't use any shielding and it sounds great with no buzz or hum.

Thanks Jimmy, that's reassuring to know. I guess I've got ample shielding now for my next build!

Do you have a build thread or completed pics?

I haven't really documented any of my builds but I really should after building 4 guitars!
