I did a bit of searching and couldn't find a thread that specifically addresses what I am trying to do (which doesn't mean it doesn't exist, and I just missed it).

I am pretty good with house wiring, OK with motorcycle wiring, and utter sh... um, not good, with guitar wiring. So could REALLY use some help.

I am building a guitar with a neck single (S) coil and bridge humbucker (H). I Want to use 500K pots for 1 volume and 1 tone, and a 3-way Gibson style selector. My understanding is that if I put a ~500k resistor to ground from the S signal it will see ~250k. I don't know if this changes when both PU's are selected, or even if I have this laid out correctly.

I would love to use a 500k push/pull to effectively turn the H into a S... but am pretty sure I don't have that laid out correctly.

If anyone could look at my diagrams and let me know if either of these work, or where I am wrong, I'd greatly appreciate it.
